Sabine WINTER GER (IN/ANTI)

Sabine Winter is a German national team player and multiple European champion who has established herself as one of Europe’s most dangerous all‑round attackers. Born in 1992, she has won major titles including the Belarus Open on the World Tour, several European Championship gold medals in doubles and team events, and a European Championship bronze medal in women’s singles. In recent years she has consistently been ranked among the top European women and inside the top 50–20 in the world.
Originally known as a classic two‑sided topspin player with strong backhand and forehand, she made a notable tactical change by switching to antispin rubber on the backhand. With this move she transformed her style into a modern combination game: using the anti for disruption, variation of spin and tempo, and then stepping around or pivoting to finish points with her powerful forehand. The switch to anti has added an extra layer of unpredictability and allowed her to extend her career at the top level by making her game less physically demanding but tactically more poisonous, especially against aggressive opponents who struggle with her changes of spin and rhythm.
